Friends’ Zones

June 8th – 12th: Afternoon Session 1:00 – 3:30 PM

Ages 5-10

The Zones of Regulation is a framework used to teach self-regulation and impulse control. This level two afternoon session focuses on recognizing different “zones” of body feelings in others and considers ways to interact with the person. For example, what would I say to a person if they are “blue” (feeling shy, sad, or tired) or if they are yellow (excited or anxious).

  • Led by a speech and language pathologist and an occupational therapist
  • Multi-modality and sensory experiences
  • Promotes empathy and social skills
  • Meets VPK SIS criteria
  • Cost: $200 per week per student
