Speech and language therapy at Minor Achievements provide services for children ages 3 to 12. These one-one-one, private sessions are tailored to meet individual needs. A speech and language pathologist (SLP) are highly trained to evaluate and develop a treatment plan.

Speech Therapy VS Language Therapy:

Speech therapy is provided when a person has difficulty in the production of sounds. These include articulation, fluency, and voice disorders.

Language therapy is provided when a person shows difficulties in written, spoken, or gestured language. Language delays may included receptive language (processing language), expressive language (putting words together, vocabulary), pragmatic language (social communication), and cognitive-communication (memory, attention, organization, etc.)

How do I know if my child needs speech or language therapy:

Speech and/or language delays can occur in many different forms and due to many different causes.  For example, autism, childhood apraxia, tramatic brain injury, and other developmental delays may cause challenges with speech or language.
