Storytelling
July 20th – 24th, 2020: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Ages 5-10
Stories begin with a simple thought or experience. Before being expected to write stories, kids need opportunities to form their thoughts, organize grammar, include vocabulary for imagery, and consider the listener. In this camp, students use a variety of modalities to express their stories such as group writing, dictating, narrating, acting, writing, and art.
- Led by an speech and language therapist and teacher
- Promote language usage, reading comprehension, listening, and speaking skills.
- Multi-modality and sensory experiences
- Meets VPK SIS criteria
- Cost: $300 per week per student
